Neymar: Injured and Dreaming of Barcelona
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star, Neymar, is having a tough time after another knee injury left him on the bench during training on Tuesday, 28 May, and he is reportedly longing for his former club, Barcelona.
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) released a video showing the 27-year-old forward limping out of training at the Granja Comary training centre in Rio de Janeiro, due to an apparent injury to his left knee.
The setback comes a day just after the CBF confirmed that Neymar had been replaced as Brazil’s skipper with his PSG team-mate, Dani Alves.
Reports also say that he recently confided in his close friend, Lionel Messi, that he would return to Barcelona if given the chance.
The illustrious Copa America starts on 14 June, and Brazil are hungry to bag a major trophy as their last great win was at the tournament in 2007.
Neymar has only played four matches for PSG since his return in April from his previous injury.
