Newcastle United Officially Sign Christian Atsu
English Premier League club, Newcastle United, have announced that they have officially signed Ghana international, Christian Atsu.
Atsu officially transferred from EPL winners, Chelsea, after Newcastle proposed a transfer for the 25-year-old.
Atsu has had a successful season with Newcastle, where he scored five goals in 32 appearances for the club.
Newcastle United manager, Rafael Benitez, said that the club was happy to sign a good player like Atsu.
“He’s shown us that he’s a good professional and someone who is very keen to learn and improve…Christian has been a key part of our promotion campaign and he wants to help us to build something for the future,” he said on the club’s official website.
Atsu has had quite an impressive career. After signing with Chelsea in 2013, he was loaned to various European clubs, including Bournemouth, Everton, Malaga and Vitesse Arnhem.
He is also a star player in Ghana , having made more than 40 appearances for his home country.
