Mugabe Back In Zim After Health Scare Rumours

January 25, 2016

President Robert Mugabe has arrived back in Zimbabwe after visiting Dubai on his month-long annual vacation.

During his vacation, rumours were doing the rounds in the news and on social media that Mugabe has a health scare and that he was in Dubai to receive treatment for his ailing body.

However, when Mugabe returned to Zimbabwe on Friday afternoon, he seemed to be in good spirits and looked healthy.

Footage of his arrival, where he met with long-time ally, Teodoro Obiang Nguema, the President of Equatorial Guinea, was released by Zimbabwe’s state-owned newspaper The Herald, showing Mugabe walking fine and meeting with people.

Rumours of Mugabe’s failing health and, more specifically, that he had had some sort of cardiac ailment in Dubai, has been doing the rounds for quite some time. However, Friday’s footage seems to have put this rumours to rest.

The next big thing in the president’s calendar is his 92-birthday bash in February.

Mugabe has been ridiculed over the past few months for throwing lavish and expensive birthday parties when his country is in an economic crisis and his people literally have no food or water.

There have been numerous calls for Mugabe to donate the money he is raising for his birthday bash to the poor.
