
Moustachioed Actor Burt Reynolds Dies
Hollywood actor Burt Reynolds has died at the age of 82, after going into cardiac arrest on Thursday morning.
He passed away at Jupiter Medical Center in Florida, and his family were by his side at the time of his passing, his manager confirmed.
The ‘70s icon was best known for his roles in movies such as “Smokey and the Bandit”, “The Longest Yard” and “Boogie Nights”. The latter earned him an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor.
He also received an Emmy for starring in the television sitcom series “Evening Shade”.
The “Deliverance” actor was also the first male celebrity to pose nude for Cosmopolitan in their April 1972 issue. In 1978 he received his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.
Reynolds is survived by his adopted son, Quinton, from his second marriage to ex-wife Loni Anderson. Funeral plans have yet to be confirmed for the eminent star.
