Mourinho Eyeing Weakened Manchester United
Manchester United are looking at their worst start to a season in the club’s 31 years, and Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho smells blood in the water.
United coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is confident that fans are behind his team, despite two draws and one loss in their previous three matches – they last drew 2-2 with Aston Villa on Sunday, 1 December.
The 56-year-old Portuguese – who was the Red Devils’ manager this same time last year – has some inside experience of Old Trafford, and is looking to capitalise on the team’s current poor form.
He holds no hard feelings towards his old club and says the experience is a “closed chapter in [his] history book”, and that the fans “humbled” him.
When asked about the upcoming game, Mourinho said: “I’m not a villain, I’m not an enemy. I am the coach trying to win against United – that’s how the United fans are going to look at me.”
Man United and Tottenham will square off tonight, 4 December, at 21:30 GMT.
