Michael Buble’s Wife Responds to Abuse Claims
The wife of singer Michael Buble is shutting down claims that he is abusive towards her, after a recent video clip of them went viral.
The 44-year-old “Everything” crooner has been married to 32-year-old Argentine actress, Luisana Lopilato, since 2011. Together, they share three children.
In one of their Instagram Live videos, Buble is seen elbowing an apologetic Lopilato after she talks over him. Grabbing her arm, he then pulls her towards him before wrapping his arm around her shoulders.
The video has since gone viral after many fans interpreted that Lopilato is trapped in an abusive marriage.
However, in a statement posted to Instagram on Monday, 13 April, Lopilato denied the allegations.
She wrote: “I want you all to know that I have no doubts about who my husband is and that I would chose [sic] him again a thousand times over!”
She added: “I’ve seen your messages over the weekend and I am very thankful … but it is important to pay attention to be able to help women that are going through [domestic abuse].Thank you. But it’s not in my case.”
