Megan Thee Stallion: Tory Lanez Shot Me
Megan Thee Stallion has officially accused fellow rapper, Tory Lanez, of shooting her during an alleged altercation last month.
On 12 July, the “WAP” hitmaker was shot in her feet while she and Lanez were travelling in a chauffeured SUV in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California. The shooting resulted in the former receiving surgery, and the latter getting arrested for possessing a concealed weapon.
On Thursday evening, 20 August, Thee Stallion took to Instagram Live to open up about her ordeal. In the process, she accused Lanez of shooting her after she walked away from the SUV following an argument.
Addressing Lanez directly, she said: “You shot me. And you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs, lying … stop lying. Why lie? I don’t understand.”
The 25-year-old rapper also explained why she did not inform the police about the culprit’s identity: “I didn’t tell the police nothing because I didn’t want to get in no more trouble than we was already about to get in [sic].”
With Thee Stallion’s allegations, Los Angeles’ district attorney has grounds to file assault charges against the 28-year-old rapper.
