Manchester United Sign Victor Lindelof
English Premier League club, Manchester United, has announced that they have signed Swedish international, Victor Lindelof.
The club released a statement on Saturday confirming the acquisition of the 22-year-old defender from Portuguese club, Benfica.
Lindelof signed with Benfica in 2012 and was placed in their second team. He made his first team debut for the club in 2013, going on to win the Portuguese League three times.
He has also made appearances for the Swedish national team.
First making appearances in the Swedish U-17, U-19 and U-21 teams, he made his senior national debut in 2016 in a friendly match against Turkey. He was also part of Sweden’s team at last year’s European Tournament.
While neither Manchester United nor Lindelof’s agent has said how much his transfer fee was, British media reports have suggested that the price-tag was around the £31 million mark.
