Manchester City Announce Record Turnover

October 18, 2016

English Premier League club, Manchester City, have announced a record revenue turnover that is a far cry from the financial troubles that the club faced a while back.

City received various UEFA sanctions over their finances a while ago, but that doesn’t seemed to have stopped the club from making a profit for the second year in a row.

They recently announced a £20 million profit from revenues of 391.8 million pounds.

The Abu Dhabi owners of the club seems to be very pleased with the latest figures and have said that the club is now at a turning point.

“…Manchester City has now reached a level of sporting and commercial maturity that allows one to feed the other…[sic] I believe the 2016-17 season represents the beginning of a critical new phase in the evolution of Manchester City…We know that we have the playing, coaching and off-field capabilities at our disposal to achieve great things in English and European football in the years ahead,” Chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak said.
