Man United to Fine Wantaway Lukaku for Missing Training
Manchester United are set to give striker, Romelu Lukaku, a fine for missing training without permission on Tuesday, 6 August.
Lukaku trained with Belgian side, Anderlecht, for two consecutive days. However, Monday, 5 August, was a day off for United players, hence he will not be punished for it.
According to reports, the Belgium international wants to leave Old Trafford this summer, and that two Serie A clubs – Inter Milan and Juventus – have shown interest in signing him.
In July, Man United rejected a £54-million bid from Inter for the striker. Last week, the potential swap deal which could have seen him join Juventus dissolved after their striker, Paulo Dybala, rejected the offer.
According to reports, Lukaku is unhappy that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has indulged wantaway midfielder, Paul Pogba, after the midfielder made it clear that he wants to leave Old Trafford.
Lukaku did not feature in any of Man United’s pre-season games due to a minor injury and his absence from training, which saw him not being included in the squad for the upcoming English Premier League opening game against Chelsea.
