Man U Sweeten Swap Deal with Alejandro Garnacho
Manchester United are prepared to sell Alejandro Garnacho as part of a summer shake-up, with swap deals being explored for Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins.
The 21-year-old winger – who is part of United’s so-called “bomb squad” alongside Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia – is strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
According to reports, United have been in contact with both Chelsea and Villa as they seek a proven number nine to spearhead Ruben Amorim’s frontline.
Watkins, valued at around £60 million by Villa, is a top target, although the Midlands club remain adamant they will not sell the England international. United have also revived interest in Chelsea striker Jackson, despite the Blues placing an £80-million valuation on the Senegalese striker.
Garnacho is seen as a valuable bargaining chip as the Red Devils look to comply with the English Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules, although the Blues are only willing to value him closer to £30 million.
Time will tell which way the wind blows for the Old Trafford crew.
