Maguire Makes Multi-Million Move to Man United
Manchester United have agreed to a deal worth a whopping £80 million with English Premier League outfit, Leicester City, to sign their defender, Harry Maguire.
According to reports, the Red Devils beat out Manchester City to land the 26-year-old Englishman’s signature.
The club will pay £60 million upfront, with the remaining £20 million to be paid out in the form of performance bonuses over an extended period.
This fee eclipses the £75 million price tag that Liverpool paid for Dutch defender, Virgil van Dijk, in January 2018.
Maguire was said to be eager to leave Leicester City in favour of joining the Red Devils, who had initially submitted a £70 million bid earlier this month, only for the bid to be rejected by the Foxes for being too low.
Man United are expected to confirm the signing in the coming days. Meanwhile, Maguire is set to undergo a medical in Manchester today, Monday 15 July.
