Madzivanyika: Harare City Will Improve
While Harare City may still be sans any goals in this season’s PSL, their coach, Mike Madzivanyika, has said that he still has hope and believes his team can turnaround their recent misfortunes.
Harare City’s most recent match ended without a goal for the team, as they lost to ZPC Kariba on Monday.
However, another loss and another game without a goal has not discouraged Madzivanyika, who believes that if his team can capitalise on chances created, they will finally put something on the scoreboard.
“We haven’t started the season very well. Results are not forthcoming but, we are working on that and soon things will come right. As of Monday we lost to a team which created one chance and we had four, five chances and we couldn’t put them away [sic]. We have to go back to training and work on it,” he told reporters.
He continued, saying that he knows his team is creating enough chances to score goals, but that the execution and follow-through is where they are lacking.
“It worries me that, we are creating chances, but there is no composure in front of goal, if we can just score half of the chances we create, then everything will be fine and we will start winning games [sic]. It’s all about taking our chances and winning games by scoring goals. We need to work on that,” he said.
