Lukaku Has Transfer Promise From Everton Says Agent

June 01, 2017

Romelu Lukaku’s agent, Mino Raiola, has said that the star striker’s club, Everton, has promised that he will be allowed to transfer to another club should certain clubs make a bid for him.

“We are not in concrete talks with anybody at this moment, but hearing the market I think some clubs will contact Everton…If the price is right for Everton and the project is right for Lukaku then I think he will want to make another step, but we are not there yet,” he said.

The Belgian international has had a stellar season with Everton and has become one of the highest rated players in the English Premier League.

While he has enjoyed success at Everton, Lukaku has spoken of his desire to play in the Champions League – something Everton has not been able to do – and has rejected Everton’s offer of a new contract.

He does, however, still have two years left on his current contract with the club.

Rumours have been suggesting that Manchester United and Lukaku’s former club, Chelsea, have shown interest in acquiring the services of the 24-year-old. However, there has been no official offer from either club.
