Listen: Rihanna debuts new track
Rihanna has surprised fans with a new song titled Towards the Sun.
The song sounds nothing like her acoustic single Four Five Seconds featuring Kanye West and Paul McCartney — and that’s because it’s not on the same album.
The pop star has been hard at work finishing up her anticipated eighth studio album but took time off to curate the soundtrack to the upcoming Dreamworks animation film, Home, which will hit theaters in March.
Riri has enlisted the help of Charli XCX, Jennifer Lopez and Kiesza to contribute to that compilation on top of voicing a character in the film herself.
Towards the Sun features a warped children’s choir and Riri hits those high notes while introducing the world of Home, based on Adam Rex’s critically acclaimed children’s book The True Meaning of Smekday.
The film is about aliens coming to earth.
