It’s Over for Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts

Hot on the heels of the Brangelina break-up, another one of Hollywood’s longest-running and most respected couples have announced that they are parting ways.

Ray Donovan actor, Liev Schreiber and Australian-born actress, Naomi Watts, have announced that they are splitting up after 11 years together.

The couple also have two children together, Alexander, 9 and Samuel, 7.

And while we were wondering when these two would finally tie the knot, now we know that will unfortunately never happen.

In a joint statement released to the media, the couple said that they are separating with great love for each other and that they are excited to explore this new phase in their relationship:

“…Over the past few months we’ve come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple. It is with great love, respect, and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship”.

They continued, asking the media to be mindful of their two young sons in the process:

“…While we appreciate your curiosity and support, we ask the press to be mindful of our children and respect their right to privacy.”

While it seems that their separation is amicable and civilized, it still breaks our hearts that one of our favourite Hollywood couples will no longer be.
