Liam Payne’s £24m Estate to Be Managed by Former Partner
A new development in the ongoing aftermath of Liam Payne’s tragic death in October 2022 reveals that his £24.3 million estate is now being managed by his former partner, Cheryl Tweedy.
The former One Direction star passed away after falling from a Buenos Aires hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, and, having died without a will, his eight-year-old son Bear is set to inherit the fortune.
Court documents obtained on Wednesday, 7 May, show that Tweedy – along with music industry lawyer Richard Bray – has been appointed as administrator of Payne’s estate. While they are responsible for overseeing the assets, they currently have limited powers and cannot distribute the funds yet.
The estate was initially valued at £28.6 million, but after debts and expenses, the net worth stands at £24.3 million.
In February this year, an Argentinian court dropped criminal negligence charges against three individuals connected to Payne’s death. A postmortem found that he had died from several injuries and extensive bleeding.
At the Brit Awards in March, Payne was honoured with a heartfelt tribute, celebrating both his time with One Direction and his solo career.
