Lea Michele Apologises, Samantha Ware Responds
Actress Lea Michele has issued an apology to Samantha Ware, whose life she allegedly made a “living hell” while on the set of television show, “Glee”.
On Tuesday, 2 June, Ware accused Michele – who portrayed bubbly, girl-next-door Rachel Berry – of racially discriminating against her behind the scenes of the show.
In a lengthy statement posted to her Instagram account on Wednesday, 3 June, Michele broke her silence.
The 33-year-old actress wrote: “Whether it was my privileged position and perspective that caused me to be perceived as insensitive or inappropriate at times, or whether it was just my immaturity and me just being unnecessarily difficult, I apologize [sic] for my behavior [sic] and for any pain which I have caused.”
That same day, Ware responded to Michele’s statement on Twitter, seemingly telling her to take action.
Sharing a GoFundMe link for James Scurlock – an African American man who was killed over the weekend during the recent George Floyd protests – the 28-year-old actress wrote: “Perceived? Purcieved [sic]? Purse? Open your purse?????????????? [sic]”
