Latest FIFA Rankings Revealed

International football governing body, FIFA, has released their latest rankings list for world teams as well as African specific teams.

There have bene quite a few change up in the rankings, especially after the Rio Olympics last month.

Champions of of the Rio Olympics, Brazil, have moved up list and managed to join the top five after winning the gold medal on home soil in August.

Another South American team, Uruguay, also moved up significantly and managed to make it into the top ten in the world rankings, coming in 10th position.

As for the African teams, former number one’s, Algeria, has been dethroned by Cote d’Iviore, who has now claimed the top spot on the African rankings.

South Africa’s Bafana Bafana also managed to move up two spaces to number 13, while Nigeria is one spot below the South Africans.
