Lady Gaga & Taylor Kinney Call Off Engagement

And it looks like another Hollywood couple has called it quits – or at least for a while, that is. 

Pop icon, Lady Gaga and her boyfriend of more than 5 years, actor Taylor Kinney, have called off their engagement. 

Over the past few weeks, rumours have been doing the rounds that Gaga had split from Kinney after she was spotted numerous times without her engagement ring on her finger. 

She was also doing a lot of things – including some charity work – by herself, with no Taylor in sight. 

Then, in Tuesday, gossip site, TMZ reported that the couple had split up, citing a source ‘close to the couple.’  

However, it wasn’t long before Gaga herself took charge of the situation and gave her own version of the events on her Instagram page. 

In a heartfelt message, accompanied by a beautiful picture of the couple, Gaga wrote: 

“…Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We’re just like everybody else and we really love each other.”

It’s so touching to see that a couple can be so real about the ups and downs of relationships, and we hope that Gaga and Taylor can sort this one out!
