Kensington Palace Announces Meghan Markle’s Pregnancy
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their first child together.
In a statement posted today on its Twitter account, Kensington Palace confirmed the exciting news.
It read: “Their Royal Highnesses, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.”
Retweeting the post, the palace added: “Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”
Their family – including Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland – were informed of the news last Friday at Princess Eugenie’s wedding.
The couple married in May this year at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, England. They have currently embarked on their first overseas tour to Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga and New Zealand.
