Katy Perry Gives Birth to 1st Child
Katy Perry and fiance Orlando Bloom shared huge news yesterday, Wednesday 26 August, in which they announced the birth of their first child.
In a statement to UNICEF – for whom the couple are Goodwill ambassadors – the 35-year-old songstress and her husband-to-be revealed that they have recently welcomed their first child. They also shared the news via an official post on UNICEF’s Instagram account the same day.
The post included a black-and-white photo of both parents holding a tiny hand, with a caption that reads: “We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter.”
In the photo, Perry had a little daisy sticker on her thumbnail, a wry nod to the name given to their baby girl: Daisy Dove Bloom.
The power couple first announced they were expecting back in March, when the songstress showed off her baby bump in her “Never Worn White” music video.
Daisy Dove is Perry’s first child, and 43-year-old Bloom’s second – he and his ex-wife, Miranda Kerry, share a son, Flynn, who is nine-years-old.
