Karrueche Tran Gets Restraining Order Against Chris Brown

Model and TV personality, Karrueche Tran, has been a granted a temporary restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown, after she said that he threatened to kill her.

Tran filed the documents on February 17th for a domestic violence restraining order, claiming that Chris Brown had not only threatened to “beat her up”, but to also kill her.

In the documents, Tran alleges that Brown threatened to kill her to others, harassed her friends and also threatened her via text message. She also said that Brown threatened to shoot her.

“Around the second week of February, he told a few people that he was going to kill me. He said if no one else can have me, then he’s gonna ‘take me out’ [sic]…I have text messages from December 2016-January 2017 where he’s made several threats including beating me up and making my life hell,” Tran said in the documents.

As we all know, Brown has a history of domestic abuse. In 2009, he pleaded guilty to assaulting then-girlfriend, Rihanna. He was slated by the media and women’s rights groups for the horrific act, after pictures surfaced of Rihanna’s severely bruised face.

He has since had a very bad rep relating to domestic abuse and his violent outbursts have landed him in trouble more than once.

In her filing, Tran claims that she, too, suffered from abuse at the hands of Brown when they were together.

She claims that when they were still together, Brown had punched her in the stomach twice, and pushed her down a flight of stairs.

Tran also asked the judge to extend the restraining order against Brown to her mother and younger brother, as she does not want to put them at risk, too.

A judge has granted Tran a temporary restraining order until her court date in March.

Let’s hope Brown leaves her alone and gets the help he so desperately needs.
