Kanye West Threatens to Boycott 2017 Grammys

Kanye West has threatened to boycott the 2017 Grammy Awards if his friend and fellow artist, Frank Ocean, is not nominated for an award.

Kanye – who, of course, is no stranger to controversial statements, told the crowd at one of his concerts recently that he will not attend the award show if Frank Ocean is not nominated.

“…I’m saying this to y’all, because a lot of people, you know, they try to make a scene, like, ‘I’m so self-centered.’ But the album I listened to the most this year is Frank Ocean’s album…And I will tell you this right now: If his album’s not nominated in no categories, I’m not showing up to the Grammys,” he told the audience.

The audience seemed to agree with Kanye as they erupted into applause.

Kanye then went on to explain that Frank Ocean was very vocal about the fact that his album was not nominated – this all because apparently he missed the September 30th deadline.
