Kaizer Chiefs to Offer New Deal to Katsande
Superstar Zimbabwean midfielder, Willard Katsande, will soon be offered a new deal by South African club, Kaizer Chiefs, according to the club’s president.
Kaizer Motaung, president of the Johannesburg-based Chiefs, told the club’s official website that he and his managerial team are working tirelessly to review Katsande’s contract and to come up with a new offer for the Zimbabwean.
Katsande is considered as an integral part of Kaizer Chiefs, since joining the club in 2011.
“We are working around the clock to review the contracts of Lucky Baloyi, Willard Katsande, Tsepo Masilela and George Maluleka…proposals are on the table with regard to Katsande and Maluleka. We are waiting for Katsande to return from national team duty to continue with the negotiations. We are looking to finalise Maluleka’s deal by the end of the week [sic],” Motaung said.
Katsande is currently in Zimbabwe, after completing national duty for the Warriors in the AFCON tournament.
Unfortunately, the Warriors were knocked out of the 2017 AFCON tournament last week, after they lost 4-2 to Tunisia.
