Justin Bieber Slammed for Lip-Syncing at Coachella
Justin Bieber has come under fire from fans on social media for lip-syncing during his performance at the 2019 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
The 25-year-old star received backlash online for appearing out of sync as he mouthed the lyrics to his song, “Sorry”, while performing alongside Ariana Grande at the festival last Sunday, 21 April, in Indio, California.
A fan tweeted: “Ariana grande brought out justin bieber [sic] and he is lip syncing [sic] and he FULLY just missed his cue and got exposed.”
Grande leapt to Bieber’s defence, tweeting: “We also decided to do this ten minutes before my set started. we had 0 soundcheck, 0 rehearsal [sic].”
Addressing Bieber, she added: “You were singing with the back tracking [sic] like most cameos do … the world was happy to have u [sic] on stage again.”
In response to the harsh critiques of his performance, Bieber tweeted: “Think about how awesome it felt for me to be on that stage after being away for so long the excitement and joy it gave me doing the thing i love the most [sic].”
