May 11, 2017

There is going to be a new coach on ‘The Voice’ and we’re very excited about this latest addition to the popular show!

Oscar-winning actress and all-round total diva, Jennifer Hudson, has been confirmed as a coach for season 13 of The Voice.

US television, NBC, who produces The Voice, announced on Wednesday that Hudson will join the lineup of coaches. Also set to judge the show are OG members, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, as well as Miley Cyrus, who is also re-joining the show.

President of NBC, Paul Telegdy, said that the network is extremely excited to have Jennifer on board for the new season.

“Jennifer is an extraordinary vocal talent and one of the premier voices of our time. She embodies the experience, expertise, positivity and sheer talent that “The Voice” stands for…Her exceptional skills as a singer and actress have extended to film, television and Broadway, which makes her an incredible addition and a natural fit,” he said.

This is not Jennifer’s first experience with ‘The Voice’ either. Earlier in the year, she was a judge on the UK version of the popular show.

She also has a personal connection with reality singing competitions. Jennifer got her big break back in 2004 on the third season of ‘American Idol’.

We hope we get to see Jennifer sing as much as she coaches on the show!
