Janice accuses Bill Cosby of rape

November 19, 2014

Yet another woman has come forward and accused comedian Bill Cosby of sexual assault.

Former supermodel Janice Dickinson visited Entertainment Tonight to share her personal encounter with Bill Cosby in 1982. The star said Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her in Lake Tahoe.

Dickinson says that she remembers Cosby calling her to come to Lake Tahoe, where he was performing and wanted to “discuss her career”. She says she remembers Cosby giving her red wine and a pill in her hotel room, which led to her blacking out. She says that’s when he came in and raped her.

“The next morning I woke up, and I wasn’t wearing my pajamas, and I remember before I passed out that I had been sexually assaulted by this man… Before I woke up in the morning, the last thing I remember was Bill Cosby in a patchwork robe, dropping his robe and getting on top of me.”

Dickinson described the encounter in more graphic detail but it wasn’t shown on the show. She also says she once included her rape claim in a draft of her 2002 memoir, but Bill Cosby’s lawyer pressured her publisher Harper Collins to remove it.

The model also spoke about why she has decided to come forward now and said:

“I’m doing this because it’s the right thing to do, and it happened to me, and this is the true story.”
