Jackman playing Wolverine "one last time"
Hugh Jackman unexpectedly announced that he’ll be playing Wolverine "one last time".
The actor made the announcement on his Instagram account posting a picture of his hand with the signature claws attached. The caption of the image read: "WOLVERINE …ONE LAST TIME" which all but confirms Jackman’s departure.
Jackman is set to appear as the character in a third solo Wolverine film which is currently scheduled for release March 3, 2017 with the film’s director James Mangold all but confirming the news on Twitter that the film is coming along.

If Jackman is playing Wolverine "one last time", and will use his final credit to play the character in the solo Wolverine film, then this means that he won’t be reprising his role in next year’s X-Men: Apocalypse as previously rumoured.
