Injured Hazard Remains Doubtful for Burnley Clash
Chelsea midfielder, Eden Hazard, remains doubtful for the the club’s Premier League clash with Burnley this Sunday, 28 October, as he continues to struggle with a back injury.
The 27-year-old Belgian – who has scored seven goals in the Premier League this season – attributes his back injury to being kicked so much in last Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United.
As a result, he was forced to pull out of the club’s match against BATE Borisov on Thursday, 25 October. The Blues went on to beat Borisov 3-1.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, head coach, Maurizio Sarri said: “[Hazard] has a back problem. We are trying to solve the problem for [this] Sunday. It’s not very easy.”
Sarri added: “[Thursday’s] match is not a big problem, because we have to play after five days, from the last match. The problem will be on Sunday, because on Sunday we will play after 65 hours. So we need to change [the starting line-up].”
