‘Independence Day 2’ cast announced
The sequel to 1996 hit film Independence Day is gearing up for production, and some of the cast have been announced.
According to the Hollywood Reporter Liam Hemsworth has joined the cast and will play one of the lead roles while Jeff Goldblum is set to reprise his role from the first film.
Survivor’s Remorse star Jessie Usher has been cast as the son of Will Smith’s character from the first film and according to the site, Usher’s character is the "central character in the new film."
Roland Emmerich returns to direct the sequel and confirmed the casting via tweets:

The sequel is set to hit screens June 24, 2016.
