This weekend was jam-packed with footie action, from Man U’s 3-0 victory over Sunderland to Leicester City’s 2-4 defeat to Everton.

 

We’ve gathered some of the juiciest highlights from the top matches this weekend so that you don’t miss out on anything!

 

Let’s start off with yesterday’s battle at the Stadium of Light:

 

Sunderland 0-3 Manchester United

 

Man U’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored in his 21st different match of the season for Manchester United. Ibrahimovic has scored in 41% of 51 different games Man U have played this season.He has now also racked up ten away goals in the Premier League this season. In this regard, he is only beaten by Sergio Aguero, who has scored 11, and Alexis Sanchez, who has scored 12.

 

Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored a goal a mere 45 seconds into the second half of the game meaning that he currently holds the record for the quickest second half goal in the Premier League this season.

 

With their won yesterday, The Red Devils now stand unbeaten for 21 matches consecutive matches –  the tenth longest unbeaten run in the history of the competition.

 

This weekend was Sunderland’s Seb Larsson’s received his first red card in his Premier League career.

 

Other stats from the Premier League

 

With a total of 101 goals, there is no other Premier League team that has scored more goals in all competitions than Manchester City this season. The Red Devils share this impressive record with Arsenal.

 

Middlesbrough have felt the frustration of enduring seven goalless draws this season. This is at least three more than any other side has had to endure. On a more positive note, Liverpool have won 18 points from losing positions this season – this is more than any other club has achieved.

 

Tottenham has won 11 home games in a row, making it their best winning streak at White Hart Lane since October 1987, when they enjoyed a whopping 14-game winning streak at home.

 

Last but not least, Spurs’ Dele Alli has contributed directly to 14 goals in 13 games for the club this year alone! Of these, ten were goals and four were assists.
