Highlights from Liverpool’s Impressive 5-0 Win over Watford

Liverpool, who were under pressure to retain the top spot of the Premier League table, came out guns blazing with a thumping 5-0 win over Watford at Anfield on Wednesday, 27 February.

The Reds had recently suffered a goal drought and were held hostage to a 0-0 draw by Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, 24 February.

Three days later Klopp’s side was inspired, back in form, and ready to put the brakes on their recent title wobbles, which lead to a magnificent 5-0 win.

Sadio Mane’s performance was exceptional, he completed his double score with a fantastic backheel – both goals were assisted by Alexander-Arnold.

Origi – who got the opportunity to be in the starting IV due to Firmino’s injury woe – netted a goal making it 3-0 in the 66th minute before two Virgil van Dijk headers finalised the lead to 5-0.

Liverpool are still in the driving seat for the title, having conceded 15 goals in 28 league matches, one point clear, and 10 games left to go.
