Harry Kane: Tottenham Will Put Pressure on Chelsea

May 04, 2017

Tottenham’s star striker, Harry Kane, has vowed to put pressure on Chelsea this weekend as the race for the English Premier League title heats up.

Tottenham are currently second on the log, four points behind Chelsea.

However, if Tottenham wins their upcoming game against West Ham United on Friday, they will move up three points, making them only one point away from the top spot.

Kane believes that the Spurs will win on Friday, and will put some serious pressure on Chelsea.

“We just have to try to finish strong. We’ve got another game Friday night and it’s good to play first…Hopefully we can drop the gap to one point and then see what happens,” he told reporters.

Tottenham has previously had to play most of their matches after Chelsea, thus responding to their victories. This week, however, Tottenham will get to play first, with Chelsea only playing against Middlesbrough on Monday.

Kane continued, saying that Friday’s game will be tough, but that he has confidence in his team.

“We know what it’s like from when Leicester were playing last year before us, and even today, that it’s good to play first and put the pressure on…It’ll be a tough game away from home but hopefully we can get that win, put the pressure on and just wait and see,” he said.
