Bayern Munich have secured themselves a spot in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals thanks to the quick footwork of their key player, Harry Kane.

The Bundesliga giants hosted Lazio at Allianz Arena in Munich yesterday, Tuesday 5 March. Despite a slow start, the hosts walked away with a 3-1 aggregate win.
A header from Kane in the 39th minute opened the scoreboard for the match, levelling the scores on aggregate and sending German fans into a frenzy.

Two minutes into half-time, midfielder Thomas Müller claimed the second goal for Bayern, with help from his teammate, Matthijs de Ligt.

Kane only further increased the lead for the hosts at the 66-minute mark as the striker took advantage of a gap to seal a victory for his side.

“It was a perfect night for us,” Kane said during the post-match press conference before going on to add: “Everyone with energy, all around the pitch, the way we played and created chances and pressed without the ball – it was a top, top performance.”
