Gwyneth Paltrow Sued over Ski Crash Injury
Gwyneth Paltrow has been accused of seriously injuring a man during a “hit and run ski crash” in 2016.
According to the recently filed lawsuit, Terry Sanderson is suing the “Shakespeare in Love” actress over claims that she collided with him at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah.
Paltrow was allegedly skiing “out of control” on a beginner run when she knocked into Sanderson, “causing him to suffer a concussion, brain injury and four broken ribs”.
The lawsuit also claims that Paltrow picked herself up and continued on her way without checking to see if Sanderson needed any help. A ski instructor is also accused of blaming Sanderson for causing the crash in the first place.
Taking legal action against Paltrow, as well as against the resort for the instructor’s alleged actions, Sanderson is seeking $3.1 million in damages.
However, the 46-year-old actress’s spokesperson, Heather Wilson, says the lawsuit is “without merit”, and that her client will be “vindicated”.
