Guidolin: Ayew Will Stay With Swansea
Francesco Guidoli, manager of English Premier League club Swansea City, has said that he is ‘confident’ Andre Ayew will remain with the club.
The Ghana international players has been a star performer for the club since joining in 2015.
Speaking to the media, Guidoli said that while he believes Ayew will stay with Swansea, inevitably the decision doesn’t come down to just him.
“…Andre is a good guy and a good player, I hope he stays with us but I don’t know,” he said.
He continued saying that it will be very important for the club as a whole to keep Ayew in the squad.
“…it is important to keep him, but it is not my job. My job is to train and to get the team to play well and to get good results. I am confident he will stay [sic],” Guidoli said.
In recent weeks, rumours have been doing the rounds that Ayew has had talks with other major Premier League clubs, including West Ham, Chelsea and Sunderland.
Ayew has had a stellar season with Swansea City, managing to score 12 goals since joining the club.
