Guardiola Thrilled With Man City Victory over Barca
Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, is beyond thrilled with his team’s performance in last night’s Champions League match against Barcelona.
Guardiola, who is a former Barcelona manager himself, has praised his team for their effortless defeat against what he calls “the best team in the world.”
It was somewhat of a revenge match for City, who lost horribly to Barcelona just two weeks ago, with the end resulting in 4 – 0 to Barca.
However, this time City managed to beat Barcelona 3 goals to 1.
Guardiola was, understandably, very impressed with his team’s performance and praised them at the press conference afterwards:
“…They had an amazing 30 minutes. We had a lot of problems, but our first goal helped us a lot…In the second-half we created a lot of counter-attacks. I am so happy for the guys. It is the first time we have beaten the best team in the world,” he said.
