Guardiola Says Man United Face Uphill Battle for EPL Title
Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said that he believes it will be an uphill battle for rivals Manchester United to win the English Premier League.
Speaking to reporters, Guardiola said that United will struggle to take the title of champions in the EPL, saying that the points difference between United and the current leaders, Chelsea, may just be too great.
Chelsea is currently top of the log, 13 points above Manchester United who are currently in sixth position.
“…Of course, 13 points is a long distance, especially when one team is winning games with the quality of Chelsea. So it is not easy. But to be in the first four? Of course,” Guardiola said of Manchester United.
However, in the same breath Guardiola said that the team has quality players and a quality manager and that they may very well make it to a spot in the Champions League.
“…They deserved by far to win the games but football is like this. United have the quality, the history, the manager and the players to be there,” he concluded.
