Graeme Smith’s wife speaks on retirement
Morgan Deane, the wife of South African cricketer Graeme Smith, has spoken out about his retirement.
The former South African cricket captain’s wife, who recently announced his divorce, has said that she tried to convince him to not retire back in 2011.
According to recent reports, the couple have been having marital problems, which began almost a year ago after his decision to retire from international cricket.
In 2014, the Irish singer had denied reports of marital problems, which media attributed to his decision to retire and focus on his family.
Smith and Deane got married in 2011, after the Proteas’ unsuccessful World Cup campaign in Sri Lanka and India.
There have been reports this week that the cricket player may be ready to come out of retirement after announcing his divorce early last week.
Reports claim that Smith is set to play cricket for the Titans, who have approached the former Proteas Test skipper.
