“Glee” Co-Star Calls Out Lea Michele

June 02, 2020

Former “Glee” star, Lea Michele, is facing accusations of making the life of her co-star, Samantha Ware, a “living hell” while on the set of the popular television series.

The drama began when Michele – who played Rachel Berry – made a tweet last Friday, 29 May, in response to the death of George Floyd, who had been allegedly murdered by police officers.

She wrote: “George Floyd did not deserve this. This was not an isolated incident and it must end. #BlackLivesMatter.”

Four days later, however, Ware – who played Jane Hayward – retweeted Michele’s post. Writing in all capital letters, she alleged that she will never forget how the 33-year-old actress made her “first television gig a living hell”.

According to Ware, Michele dealt out “traumatic microaggressions” towards her on set, which included threatening to defecate in her wig.

Ware’s claims have apparently been supported by other “Glee” cast members including Amber Riley, Alex Newell and Yvette Nicole Brown, the latter who tweeted: “I felt every one of those capital letters.”

Michele has yet to respond to Ware.
