Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2017: Winners
The annual Glamour Women of the Year Awards were held last night at Berkeley Square Gardens in London and saw some of the most inspirational women in fashion, film and art attend the star-studded event.
This year’s Film Actress award winner, Nicole Kidman, who turns 50 this year, gave an inspiring speech about the ageism that female actresses experience, especially in Hollywood.
“I want to tell all the women out there—it is not over at 40. It is not even over at 50…I’m going to take this as a birthday present—I’m about to turn 50 in two weeks, and I never thought this would be one of my best years,” she said.
Kidman has had a very successful year thus far. Her incredible performance in the series, ‘Big Little Lies’ (which she also produced) has earned her international, critical acclaim. Four films in which she stars, showed at the recent Cannes Film Festival.
Other winners of the night included singer and actress, Jennifer Hudson, and funny lady, Amy Poehler.
