The soapie is once again making headlines as two main cast members have recently been sacked from Generations: The Legacy.

Times LIVE reported a few days back that three actors, Denise Zimba, Asanda Foji and Ivy Nkutha, were being axed from the show.

An anonymous source revealed to Times LIVE that the reasons for the exits were because their characters didn’t have any sort of “significant impact on the drama.”

The Generations team have finally responded to the claims and revealed that two of those three actors have officially been axed.

In a statement published on the Generations website, it was confirmed that Zimba and Foji will indeed be exiting the show.

The statement explains Zimba’s exit as “moving on to pursue other interests”, while Foji’s reasoning was not mentioned at all.

The statement also reveals that Nkutha and Lebohang Mthunzi will remain on the show.

In the show, Zimba plays Mary, while Foji, Nkutha and Mthunzi play Simphiwe, Gog Flo and Angela respectively.
