‘Generations’ creator jets off
The creator and executive producer of soapie, Generations, Mfundi Vundla, has reportedly jetted off to Mackinac Island on Lake Huron in northern Michigan in the US.
According to a report by City Press, Vundla is busy checking out some jazz clubs around the island while his fired cast members contemplate their next move in this continued débâcle.
Vundla left the country on 30 August to the luxurious island because he felt like he needed a holiday and to de-stress and conceptualise a “new Generations,” according to City Press.
The creator also told the publication that his new incarnation of the popular soapie would not include any of the 16 fired cast members whose contracts have been terminated last week.
“There is no way I can work with them again,” he said. “The relationship has completely broken down, especially after the drama and the lies they told at the press conference.”
The Generations debacle continues this week as SABC plans to meet with the actors and decide their future career. They broadcasting corporation has not yet announced the meeting date as yet because of SABC chief operating officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng’s tight schedule.
