Forbes’ Highest Paid Entertainers 2017

June 13, 2017

Forbes magazine has just released their annual list of highest paid entertainers, and the celebrity that grabbed the top spot might not be who you’d expect!

The list of highest paid entertainers, including musicians, actors, authors, and athletes, is released each year in the July issue of Forbes.

The magazine determines the top earning entertainers by comparing the earnings of each celebrity between 1 June 2016 and 1 June 2017.

Last year, popstar Taylor Swift came out on top with a whopping $170 million in earnings, but this year, the top spot went to none other than rap legend, Sean Diddy Combs!

It may come as a surprise, but considering his numerous endeavours over the past year, it makes sense.

Diddy earned an estimated $130 million over the past year – certainly no small feat.

Diddy’s riches can be attributed to his partnership with Ciroc Vodka, his ‘Bad Boy Family’ Reunion Tour, and the sale of one third of his stake in his Sean John clothing label for an estimated $70 million.

Beyoncé claimed the second spot with annual earnings of $105 million.

Rounding out the top three was  ‘Harry Potter’ author, J.K Rowling, who managed to rake in $95 million.

Check out the list of the top 10 highest earning entertainers below:
