Forbes’ Highest-Paid Actresses in 2017

December 11, 2017

Combined, the world’s 10 highest-paid actresses raked in $172.5 between 1 June 2016 and 1 June 2017, before fees and taxes. The earning estimates are based on date from Nielsen, ComScore, Box Office Mojo and IMDB, as well as interviews with industry insiders. All figures mentioned are pre-tax; and the fees for agents, managers and lawyers are not deducted.

#6 Emma Watson: $14 million

2017 marks the first appearance of Emma Watson on Forbes’ highest-paid actresses list. She starred in the hit remake of “Beauty and the Beast”, which grossed $1.26 billion, making it one of the top-grossing movies of 2017.

#5 Mila Kunis: $15.5 million

The actress starred in the comedy “Bad Moms” this year and stays on “Family Guy” as the voice of Meg.

#4 Melissa McCarthy: $18 million

Even with her TV show “Mike and Molly” being off the air, McCarthy is still making big bucks from movies such as “Life of the Party”.

#3 Jennifer Lawrence: $24 million

This year Jennifer drops down to number 3 on the list, after being number one for the past two years. While she dropped down the list, even without “Hunger Games”, she still made a whopping $24 million from the movies “Mother!” and “Red Sparrow”, as well as from her long-standing endorsement with Dior.

#2 Jennifer Aniston: $25.5 million

Former “Friends” star Jennifer Aniston continues to bank millions, thanks to regular roles in movies such as “The Yellow Birds”.  She has also snagged lucrative endorsements with Smartwater, Aveeno and Emirates Airlines. The hair-care line, Living proof, which she had a stake in, was sold to to Unilever for an undisclosed amount in December 2016 – which added to her bottom earnings.

#1 Emma Stone: $26 million

At just 28 years old, the Hollywood star is this year’s highest-paid actress. Stone has the movie-musical “La La Land” to thank for the bulk of her payday, which also won her an Oscar for Best Actress. Her portrayal of Mia, an aspiring actress and barista, received rave reviews. The film reached $445.3 million at the global box office.
