Festive Season Playlist: The Biggest Hits

December 06, 2016

No Christmas party is complete without a proper dose of stereotypical festive season songs that friends and family alike can sing along to to their heart’s content!

Of course, some of these festive hits are deliciously cheesy and others might make you want to reach for the nearest bottle of wine, but ultimately they put a festive, cheery and joyous vibe in the air that you just can’t shake off.

So even if it is just for laughs, we strongly recommend you play some classic Christmas tunes when you are entertaining.

And to help you put together the ultimate festive season playlist, we have compiled four of our favourite festive hits!

All I Want For Christmas Is You – Mariah Carey

This is probably the most overplayed – yet infectious – Christmas time song. A young Mariah serenades you as she promises that all she wants for Christmas is, in fact, you.

Santa Baby – Eartha Kitt

The original cheeky Christmas song. This one is sure to get you in the festive spirit, and the original by the incredible Eartha Kitt is to die for!

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town – The Jackson Five

The original cheery, childlike Christmas song, sung by none other than The Jackson Five. This one is an absolute classic!

Little Drummer Boy – Josh Groban

Little Drummer Boy is a classic Christmas carol, and this version, sung by the impeccable Josh Groban, will bring joy to your heart and give you chills for sure!

Jingle Bell Rock – Bobby Helms

Not the original Jingle Bells, this version of the classic is way more fun. This version by Bobby Helms is perhaps the catchiest one – and it’s sure to get you dancing round the Christmas tree!
