Ferry Capsizes in Tanzania, Kills 12
Authorities have confirmed that a ferry carrying more than 60 people has capsized in Tanzania, killing a dozen of the people on board.
The ferry was carrying passengers and cargo when it was hit by a severe storm, which caused the ferry to completely capsize, throwing the passengers and cargo into the water.
While there have been 12 confirmed deaths, authorities say that it is possible that the death toll may rise as there are still missing people and rescuers are still skimming the area to find more survivors.
Some reports are suggesting that as many as 40 people have been rescued thus far, while others are claiming that just over 20 people have been rescued.
Authorities did confirm that the rescue efforts are ongoing throughout the area.
