Fellaini: Man United Will Qualify for Champions League
Manchester United midfielder and Belgian international, Marouane Fellaini, has said that United will do whatever it takes to qualify for the Champions League.
Speaking to ESPN recently, Fellaini said that the team is well aware that there are two ways to qualify for the Champions League, and that they are positive that they will qualify for the prestigious league through either of the possible avenues.
“We have two ways to play in the Champions League and we have to do it…All the players, all the staff, and the club and supporters want to be in the Champions League next season, so will do everything to be there next season [sic]…We have the squad, we have the players, we will do everything to be there,” he said.
Jose Mourinho’s men can either qualify for the Champions League by ending on the top four of the English Premier League or by winning the Europa League.
In the English Premier League, United is currently in sixth position, six points behind Liverpool, who are in fourth position.
As for the Europa League, the Red Devils will face off against Rostov on Thursday night in the second leg of their last-16 tie. They drew their first leg away, 1-1.
