Everton’s Pickford Seen Picking a Fight in Sunderland

April 03, 2019

Everton goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, is being investigated by his club after he was allegedly involved in a street brawl in Sunderland over the weekend.

According to reports, the 25-year-old Englishman – who signed with the Toffees from Sunderland AFC in 2017 for £30 million – was frequenting a bar in his former club’s hometown last Sunday, 31 March, when the altercation took place.

In video footage circulating on social media, a man – believed to be Pickford – is seen lashing out at revellers outside the unnamed bar before being restrained by his friends.

Onlookers, who can be heard shouting “Jordan”, claim that the goalkeeper was provoked after patrons in the bar made derogatory comments about his fiancee, Megan Davidson.

Everton released a statement regarding the incident: “The club has been made aware of an alleged incident involving one of our players and we are looking into the matter.”

The Northumbria police are also investigating the incident.
